It's only hard because its gimmicky, and if you're not prepared for the gimmick beforehand then its nearly impossible. All P5 Royal fights are gimmicks, I get that. But most of them can be overcome by adapting to the gimmick on the fly. That's what makes a really well designed boss fight.
